NOTE THIS WORKSHOP WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM AS OPPOSED TO FACE TO FACE do to the Covid-19 outbreak. This is a precautinary measure to protect vulnerable members of our society and also not to put any health worker under additional strain at this time.
OVERVIEW
Western Australia enjoys one of the most culturally diverse populations in Australia. To assist healthcare workers and providers deliver services that are equitable, the Health Consumers’ Council has developed this workshop to enable health workers to provide culturally inclusive services that support patient-centred care.
This workshop is aimed at clinicians and other healthcare workers including nurses, nurse coordinators, allied health professionals, health administration and support staff and also consumer representatives.
Note this workshop is funded by WA Health and as such priority will be given to WA Health Service staff.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Louise Ford (Inifura Consulting) has worked extensively with new and emerging communities and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities people in a range of capacities. She holds a BA in Aboriginal and Intercultural Studies, a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary), Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor and Teaching English as a Second Language. Louise was also invited to speak at the African Women Summit at the UN Headquarters in New York in 2014.
